1-2-1 code ug! air meter death?

oops my post got messed up due to the usage of the "enter" button too soon..
Re: my 89 240 DL idle issues
Well I mangaed to squeeze out the codes. All I got was a 1- 2- 1. I read that this is the air meter signal error. This in not too good. On the ign test, I got a 1-1-1. So this is good. Could it be that the hot wire isn't cleaning it's self in the AMM? Is there a way to hook up power to a certain terminal to be sure it cleans itself? Just a shot in the dark here.
