update on 'Mysterious Vacuum Problem' 140-160 1969

Hi All,
Everything suggested thus far, my mechanic has already done, he informs me, and to no avail, I'm sad to report. He is now going to remove the manifold and "check the webbing between the intake and exhaust manifold". I'm not sure what that means, but I think he's at the "white flag" point here. If you have any other thoughts on this, he's very eager to hear them. Have a Happy thanksgiving everyone.
