Rough idle when cold 700 1988

Hi There,

My 86 740 went through a period of rough and difficult cold/DAMP starts. Same misfire, rough idle as you describe. If you can spot a correlation to dampness then a check/clean of ignition wires and distributor might help. I found the small (gasketed) connector into my distributor hanging out, allowing moisture to enter on damp days.

After cleaning all this and closing the gap, it started and ran great until just the last few months. I'm into a rough start followed by hesitations on acceleration and then a possible stall with no start. Haven't solved that one yet!
