Leaky heater core leak problem solved with Bar's! THANKS to Bob from Pittsburg! 200

Thanks to Bob from Pittsburg for giving me the solution to my leaky heater core. I went to NAPA, and asked them about what to use, and with no hesitation said "Bar's!".

I took Bob's advice and removed the hose from the thermostat, added Bar's, and resecured the hose, checked the coolant level. Ran the car with the heater on for 1/2 hr (actually 45 minutes.. I REALLY wanted this to work!).

I drove the car again this morning and had heat without the steamy greasy gunk coming out of the vents. WOW what a relief.

This is a great message board. Thanks to all for their thoughts and support!

Larry
