Fuel for thought...

Was just comparing the fuel consumption between my '82 GLT (B23E M46) and my parents '97 Toyota Tercel (1.5 DOHC, auto.) and with some rough calculations, have discovered that if both cars were kept for 25 years, the Tercel would pay for itself in fuel savings compared to the Volvo.
Maybe I can afford that brand new Jetta TDI!! And turn the GLT into a rally car!
