no cold start!@#?! 200 1984

any suggestions for cold (below 30F) starting problem? I 've checked the resistance of the temp sensor @ the ECU and it was within specs given in the Bently for the ambient temp. Other problems that come and go:
- before warm up, abrupt stalling, usually after quick acceleration "up shift". Always cranks right back-up and runs and sometimes repeats this symptom three or four times. (vacuum hose to ignition module is good)
- before warm and after, sometimes "sluggish" response, like the timing is off. Stop the car, shut it off, re-start and problem disappears.
What I plan to do in this order:
- replace plugs, wires, rotor and cap.
- clean all the connections and as Don says - synthetic them.
- replace the temp sensor
- replace ign module
thanks! stan
