U-Joint U-doo voodoo 444-544

I have a nice new set of u-joints that would probably do me more good on my '63 544 than on my workbench. I have been told that it is best to have a shop press out the old and press in the new. When I inquired at my local shop the cheif mechanic explained that they would just bang out the old joints and hammer in the new ones. He also said that most shops are going to use this method even if they tell me they are going to press them.

I might just take a crack at installing the joints myself and know where the blows fall rather than have a stranger weild a hammer on the u-joints.

Should I:

A. Find a shop that will promise to press on the joints.
B Just do it myself.

If method B, then any tips on removing and installing drive shaft u-joints would be most welcome.

Thanks to all
