Tips for DIY items 200 1983

I always tighten plugs by hand, no torque wrench. I also coat the threads with motor oil for ease of installation. Yes, change the distributor cap and rotor - just pull and reinstall one plug wire at a time so that you don't get wires crossed. Sometimes a dab of white lithium on the distributor shaft will help with a rotor that does not want to fit. The air filter is tough, I try to remove/loosen the fittings around it just enough to pull out the old filter and put in the new....
