940 head/fog lights 900

I have front end damage on my 940 wagon and will have to replace the hood, grill and left headlight/turn signal assy. If I'm gonna go this far, I wonder if I could find a front end with fog lights? It appears the wiring is there- do I just need the correct headlights w/ fog, switch and a relay? Or is it more complicated than that?
I don't really like the 940 headlights, my old 240 with 4 square sealed beams is better. I live in the boonies and drive to work in the dark, so proper lighting is essential. Any experience with the differences between fog- and non fog lights is appreciated.
