in other words before replacing more components i suggest
checking and cleaning all the eletric connections you can
and maybe have a look at the fuel pump relay
on my 88 240 wagon the fpr is a white box about an inch square
under the glove box un plug it the box itself comes apart
sometimes they need to be resoldered or replaced
