Start issues ? AMM ? No vacuum leaks. 700 1986

G'day to all. I have a '86 740 with a 89 Bertone motor in it of the Turbo variety. A while ago (about 4 months ago) I had a new distributor and post installed because of a Hall Effect failure. The car ran like crap. Volvo techs stated the AMM was bad - deduced by a vacuum system integrity check. (vacuum system was not open or leaking).

The question I have is about the correct AMM. There is some speculation concerning which AMM is the correct one for the motor. The one that is currently installed ends in 006, I installed a 007 from ABC Boneyard and tried to start the car. It's very difficult to get started. I have to spray starting fluid into the TB and then it does start but runs worse than it does in limp home mode (i.e. disconnected AMM). The car does run in limp home mode. The new/used AMM has not been connected or disconnected with the ignition on at all. I was hoping to get some feedback on what my next step should be.

Thanks in advance. -Rich
