V8 conversion 444-544

Well, If and when you want to cover it with something.... I have just the thing to help out the project. http://www.georger.com/544_volvo_front_end.htm has a fiberglass front end so you can hack away and weld-in all you want and then place the nice clip over the top. On this car I have full 1800Es components from the whole steering assembly (from steering wheel to the tires including all tie rods etc) And the M41 and even the rear axle for 4 wheel discs. But alas 20years of winters has taken a toll. This summer I will be rebodying this handsome steed and going with a bolt up 140 front member and staying with all the running gear I presently have in the car. This time I'll adapt the rear axle to attach to the 544 body rather than cut out the whole floor but I do like the short shifter so the floor will be adjusted accordingly. If I want to goose the power... I think a Supercharged B20 will be fine and more interesting than a street rod V8 544. (in my opinion)

Christopher

PS I'll be in St. Louis this Thursday??
