SU adjustments 200 1983

The idle on my '83 244DL is a bit low. Not knowing too much about SU's (having had most of my carb knowledge learnt on rochester's and holley's), where exactly is the idle adjust screw(s)? The same carb also lately has started backfiring through the carb when asked to do more than it wants when cold. Last night, it did this for the first time when warm. I have no idea about this problem? what causes and such. Any help will be appreciated.
