fuel line problem 200

1982 240dl w/ 205K miles. When I was changing the prepump out I damaged the fuel line not realizing that it is a high pressure line and you just can't buy a replacement line at the corner parts store. It's about 15 inches in length and a 1/4 inside diamater it connected to male barb connectors both the fuel sending unit and the adapter to the steel fuel line. Any ideas out there on what I could do to get a new fuel line in? I did buy some high pressure1/4 inside diameter hose (rated at 275psi)and a couple of clamps - should I just put this on or will the hose explode?

I already tried the volvo dealer and IPD and neither carries this hose or had any good suggestions.

Thanks,

Martin
