V8 conversion 444-544

Thanks Charles,

Other than the Rover V8's the Ford setup with alum heads seems right on a gut level. I am convinced that the motor/trans should be set as far back in the compartment as possible to minimize handling problems (read: weight distribution). It may indeed be necessary to re-fab the front frame members. I think some close measurements of a Mustang II subframe are in order.

In any case, I have to get my present project car done first (about a year yet), but I am looking for a 544 "roller" so I can start measuring and planning. 302 long blocks are pretty common critters, and maybe Santa has one in his sack.

Thanks for the support. I will keep you informed.

Mike
