79 OD not engauging 200 1979

Hi All! Hope all is well with all of you. My OD will not engauge(manual transmission). It worked a week or two ago, but now it's done. (no green light either) I have tried it cold and when warmed up. I have taken off the top of the gear shifter, unhooked the OD switch put the two connecters together, nothing.(I was hoping it was the switch) I had some problems last summer with it not turning off, but they mysteriously went away. I posted about that problem, and was told to check the relay, then another post said the 79 doesn't have a relay. The transmission was replaced by PO about 3 years ago. Any one have a suggestion on what this could be? Thanks all!

Little side note: Both of my wagon's PO's went to VWs and are back in 240 wagons. (I am certinly not disrespecting the VW, I might even drive one if Volvo never existed)
