Motherf****** fuses ina 240

I hate the fuse holder design in the 240. I have replaced it before, bent tabs to get it to hold the ceramic fuses, even bought glass fuses. It still gives intermittent problems. Has anyone converted to a mini type fuse block, and if so what kind did you get. Another solution, although I don't know if it would be cheaper-has anyone used a fusible link with female connectors on both ends that connect to the fuse block and then put the appropriate sized fuse in the fusible link. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

By the way, the headlight problem I had earlier turned out to be the headlight relay (lights are much brighter now, even before I had the relay problem the lights sucked), which the Volvo dealer told me did not exist in my car after 1986 (I read him the part number off the relay and he sold it to me) :-)
