ok both of you are thinking fuel pressure regulator.
but why after running for 7-8 minutes would 90 percent
of the problem go away?

it just doesn't compute with the unpowered vacuum only
regulator changing the way the car runs after awhile.

thermo time switch seams likely but i have no idea wtf
it is.

i just don't have $50 to throw away anytime a year let alone
during the holidays.
