700 rear springs in a 240? 200

They have different parts numbers, if that's an indication. I'd wait for the 200 wagon to show up. Be aware that there are two types of 240 wagon springs, "normal" and "heavy duty". The only difference between the normal sedan springs, the normal wagon springs and the HD springs is the wire diameter. If the wagon you find happens to have the HD springs (around 14 mm Ø), your sedan will have a very stiff rear end. Also, it will raise more than you'd want. Been there, pictures and comments in the Gallery section on my website.

The springs are quite easy to remove, as they are only fixed at the bottom. You will need to loosen the lower shock mounts as well, to drop the axle. Put your jack under the diff and lower slowly. A tip: The springs are fixed to the control arm by a disk with a bolt on it. This bolt will very easily come loose from the disk, as it is only a press fit. No hex head. So, keep two proper size machine bolts at hand, otherwise you might not be able to finish the job.

Erling.
