Need advice on radio reception problems 200

Hey,

My wife's radio has been unable to recieve radion signals for some time. It gets choppy reception that cuts out to static. So I installed a new anttena as well as an in-trunk CD player. The CD player gets the signal to the radio via the attenna coax. The radio plugs into the CD unit which then plugs into the rear of the radio. The radio had reception problems before I installed the CD player. So like I said I installed the player and new attena simultaneously. Like the radio the CD (tuned to a station) cuts out and replicates what the radio does. Anyone have this problem? I can perform some soldering if anyone knows if this is a common problem with the later ('92) radios.

Thanks for any help,

Josh
