Replacing exhaust manifold gaskets 700

My '89 760 Turbo has been making a clicking noise (like cards being hit by spokes in a tire). Mechanic said that I have a leak where the turbo/head/manifold meet. From reading the FAQ, I assume that I need to replace my exhaust manifold gaskets.

My father and I are thinking of doing this ourselves along with some other repair jobs but are a little hesitant. The FAQ makes this sound like a somewhat complicated procedure. I wanted to hear from anyone who has attempted this repair on their own to see how hard it is and what pitfalls I should be on the look out for. Also, this may sound stupid, but if anyone can provide a picture of where the gaskets are located I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any help the members of this board can give to me.
