battery idiot light on when ignition switch is off but goes off when the car is started...Actually the alternator died on my son and I installed a rebuilt one. NOw if you disconnect the small spade connector the battery idiot light goes off and it looks like it's charging.. ( Haven't checked yet for sure but will do asap) What do you think, did I buy a bad alternator or do I have some electrical problems ??? Any tips as to where to look ?? BTW I've replaced the wiring harness two years ago...It's an 87 240dl.. Thanks for any inputs!!
