Power steering issue - am I on the right track?

I thought about the steering u-joints and should try to lubricate them. Had an issue with some on a 240 and the lube method worked. I always assumed the difference in feel on steering had to do with the brand of rack or the age of the front components. I guess I should look at the strut mounts and strut inserts. I will probably do the front suspension parts on this one as I usually go that route.

It just does not feel right! And no noise at all - again I am going to take the belly pan off and get a good look. The 700 faqs note that the individual who put a magenefine filter on his power steering system got results in a few days. Only had mine on for a short time - might get some more improvement.

Plus, I was under the impression that sedans had a different rack (and feel) than wagons? Always thought they made the wagons easier to steer for the soccer moms???? I'm dreaming I guess.........LOL
