antifreeze leak somewhere 200 1979

Hi All! Hope everyone is doing well. I noticed my temp guage was way up, so I pulled over to check my antifreeze. I come to find out I have none.(nothing in the overflow)So I fill it up. Now it is still smoking(steaming)from behind the engine, center near the firewall. Anyone know what the problem could be? I know there is a leak, Is there a seal there I could replace? I am not sure how long I've had, or how bad this problem is. I did notice a week or two ago that something was leaking. (puddle flowing under car, I guess the drip causing the chemical rainbow) This would be consistant with where it is steaming from. Should I just try Stop-Leak, or go indepth. Thanks Bricksters for all the advice I have received, and keeping my Brick rolling. Take care folks.
