I can tell you where I mounted CBs in my 240s, and maybe that will help.

I was able to buy a mount from Radio Shack, dunno if they still have them. It was about 1/2 or 3/4 inch thick by 3.5 in square, IIRC. The top piece and bottom piece slide apart.

The bottom piece I attached directly onto the top of the CB. Took some disassembly of the CB, and care with regard to where the screw heads would go so as to not touch and internal wiring.

The top section I mounted under the glove box, bolted to the rail that goes across the dash there. On the 240 that rail is wide enough to have the front and back bolts far apart enough for a stable mounting. The felt pad had to be cut to accomodate the mount.

I did all my daily drivers that way, and was able to take the CB from one car to another, if need be. Worked fine, enjoyed it a lot.
