aw-70 extension housing bushing 200 1990

I'm in the process of putting a junkyard tranny into my wife's 90 240 wagon. The old one died for some reason. I replaced the input and output seal and the extension housing bushing. I was not very impressed by the fit between the output flange and the bushing - over .030" slop. Anybody have experience with this. I discussed this with several of my mechanic buddies and we decided to just leave it. I had visions of making a new one but I just don't have the time now. Anyway, I bolted it all up and it definitely has less slack than before.

I would love to hear from somebody who has an opinion on this sloppy fit?

Thanks Erik
