Freekin SRS Light, 740 Volvo, Not in Wreck 700

Last week I replaced the rubber boot that goes between the air mass meter and the throttle body. After this was done, I started the car and noticed that the SRS light stayed on and this had never happened before. I checked in the area that I had been working and didn't see any loose wires or connections. I checked all my fuses and all were okay. This is my teenage daughters car and I don't want her driving without a working air bag. Our local European car repair places prefer not to deal with air bag issues. Any thoughts before I throw myself to the mercy of the Volvo dealer?
