Help 1989 760 turbo dies and will not start. 700 1989

This is kind of strange but when the car is running the blue light around the a/c switch blinks and the red warning lights are dimly lit... I put in a fresh battery and the car runs but i am afraid to drive it. I was wondering if the blinking a/c light was some sort of ecu code. any suggetions would be greatly appreciated
