240 Series 14inch Steel Rims With Snows/ Ok to use on 1987 745 TurboWagon 700

I have a set of 14 inch rims with snow tires on them from
a 240 Car that was totaled. The 15 snow tires that I have on an
extra set of steel rims for the 740 are getting pretty worn.
What are pro's and con's of using these 14 inch snow tires.
Hate to buy new snow tires since these 14 snow tires have lots of
good tread left on them.
