Dyno numbers 1800

for my .02 cents worth:

on the subject of carb and venturi size, I had a pair of Solex 48mm side drafts on my street 1800. The engine was the IPD 2130, cam, yada yada package. The carbs had 36mm venturies (chokes), maybe 34, and no air horns. The damn car ran like a bat out of hell with a time bomb up it's ass! I mean to say it was fast!

It seemed fine throughout the rpm range. The only prob was that it was a gas guzzler (12mpg). Because of that, I took them off, sold them to a local racer and put the single DGV on the car. I have regretted it every since.

I think its kinda funny that without much research at all, the car ran as well as it did. Talk about being lucky.
