Poor cold starting 200 1993

The car has the LH 2.4 system, and sometimes develops a reluctance to start when cold. Once started, it runs perfectly, no re-start problems hot or cold for the rest of the day.
What things should I be looking at?

I have already:

replaced fuel pump relay
cleaned fuses
checked fuel pumps are running
replaced fuel pressure regulator
replaced ignition amplifier module
replaced distributor, rotor arm, HT leads and plugs
checked fuel pressure at the injector rail

I am thinking about the crank and temperature sensors, but the FAQs suggest these cause hot rather than cold start problems.
The engine check light always comes on at the first key position, which I am told means the computer is powering up.

Any suggestions very welcome. Thanks.
