Question about service light 700

Hi: I have a 88 74o gle wagon and this happens every 5000-7000 miles (I think) If it is like mine the reminder light will go out after 2 minutes. As for resetting it I don't now if it is like mine. On mine you just remove the two screws under the plastic trim pieces . One on the right & one on the left. Pull out the entire dash as a one piece unit and look for a red button. Just push it in while the key is turned on without the motor running. Sometimes you have to do it a few times. After you push the button turn the key off then on to see if you reset it, if not just do it again. I use a pencil with the eraser end to reset mine. You realy don't have to bother with it if the light gos off after 2 minutes , it won't hurt anything, just kind of a pain. Good luck and Happy Holidays, Dan Metz.
