mysterious stalling 700 1991

I had the same problem last year. I had it to several shops including a Volvo dealer. The car would never act up while at the shop. Finally I changed out the RPM sensor inside the distributor and the problem was solved.
It's frustrating when you take your car to trained professionals and they can't figure out what's wrong. They want to start changing parts. So I figured I could do that myself.
