245 Wagon oil pressure 200 1986

Car has 200Kmis (centennial event was last week ...) Had my mechanic change the oil ... now pressure is very HIGH ..!! Before pressure was about 3 bar, falling as the car warmed to about 2. Now it is over 4 when idling, and a little less when warm at idle. The mechanic says he put in 10-40W oil. I'm accustomed to oil pressure being sensed at a remote location in the head, so can't see how an incorrect or incorrectly installed filter could cause, but I'm not sure in this car ... what do you think?
