Differences between B21/23 and B230 140-160

Hi All,

As you may or may not have gathered from my previous posts I am planning a 240 motor install into my '68 142.

As I have gathered from various posts the B230 is a much harder install than the B21/23.

However after reading various things (the engine descriptions on www.volvowrold.com and in the haynes 240 workshop manual for example) it basically says that the B230 and B21/23 are almost identical motors with most parts interchangeable.

I was hoping that someone could spell out for me the differences and why the B230 is so much harder to install into a 140 over the B21/23.

Are the heads the same?

Can you fit the B234 16valve head onto a B21 or B23?

Cheers,

Daz

Always appreciating your guys input!
