Stutter while turning 2700 rpm's on way to Nashville 200 1985

While on I-40 going to Nashville I was doing real good @ about 2700 rpm's, then I felt a short stutter. This was a break in the flawless hum of my engine. On down and back it happen more frequently. Going up a steep grade, or just pressing down on the gas does not affect her. When she gets to smooth running is when the stutter happens. Around town for a few weeks I noticed when going through the gears if I leave her in say, 2nd, for a few seconds she will slightly jump or stutter. Last year (November) I had the intank & mainfuel pump replaced. I recently replaced all front seals, but the timing belt was replaced when I replaced the fuel pumps. I recently replaced the spark plug wires, but not the spark plugs. I will have butterflies until I track the cause down. Does this ring a bell with anyone. Merry Christmas. Hugh Sr.
