Dash bulbs/ sockets

Saw the post recently on Volvo dash bulb replacement that showed splicing a replacable bulb socket for the type that has the bulb and holder as one piece... I don't like splicing so I came up with this....
The upper item shows the type I am talking about...
The middle is the socket commonly found in use on Volvos and the round portion will even fot in the same holes/retainers as the top type...
The lower one shows the prongs sanded to fit in the orginal type wiring receptical, no splicing...
