No start-- is it worth it? 200

Our 1989 240 had an intermittent no start that gave out completely. It will crank, but it won't start. So we had it towed to a shop and after 1hr of dianogstic and all they know is, there is no spark, or fuel. They want us to autherize another 2hrs at $72 an hour. We really don't want to spend a lot on it. ANy suggestions?
