940 speedo face 900 1991

How does one remove the face off the speedo on a 91 940GL? My speedo is a little wacky - reading 80kph while standing still or 40kph when reversing out the garage. I think it's a problem with the actual speedo itself as the odometer and trip meter don't move when this occurs. I'd like to have a look behind the scenes. Does the needle simply pull straight off? How is the face held on? Or would I be better off letting an "expert" do it?

Thanks for any advice.

Brad
