Can't separate transmission from engine 700 1989

I'm in the process of changing my rear engine seal. I've removed all the bolts attaching the transmission to the engine. I've also purchased a transmission jack to assist in this task. My problem is breaking the two appart. The whole engine and transmission move together when I riff it around. I don't want to damage anything wacking on it, but have no idea of how to approach this. Anybody have any tips?
