Wiring in an M46 in a car that had an m47 200

I just had an M46 transplanted into my 89. The M47 was getting really noisy. The old M46 is smooth, dry, tight and quiet so far, but I don't know if the overdrive works yet.
All I have left to do is to do the electric wiring and fix the mangled detent plate. I pulled a relay harness back to behind the instrument panel off a junker, where it appeared to splice into a connection in the main wiring harness. Does anyone know if this connection is the same in an 89, or do I have to do some custom wiring?

Also is the overdrive relay red? I thought they were white, but I had to take their word for it, since the relay came from a box. The pins all match
