intake gasket replacement 700 1989

89 740 GL Non turbo started missing and vibrating bad today under load and on acceleration. Was dark when I got home but opening the hood the problem was obvious. Loud hissing noise from near the #1 intake runner. Sprayed PB blaster around it and could actually hear it bubbling as it was sucked in. Too dark to tell if there was anything else near there (hose etc) that could be off but was wondering about the intake gasket replacement. Read the F.A.Q. and it seems very straight forward. Any tricks any one knows? Anything else I should do that would be easier while the intake's loose?
Thanks
Ben
