Manual Window Problem-Help Please! 200

240 DL with manual hand crank windows. I recently removed the old window tint film from the inside of the windows. Now whenever I crank the window (driver and passenger sides only, back windows are o.k.) down, the window pulls the thin rubber trim on the inside of the car down into the door. Makes a ssreeching noise and makes rolling the window down even harder. Going back up is no problem as the window going up simply pushs the rubber back into position.
I removed the door panel and with a razor blade thoroughly cleaned the glass. There was some remnant tint film. Reassembled everything and the problem continues. The rubber trim has felt on the glass side which appears clean. I have cleaned and cleaned the glass trying to find what is grabbing the felt and pulling the thin rubber trim down.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
