1979 245 DL engine vacuum parts 200 1979

Volvo's have become a sick passion of mine and thanks to the internet I've been able to find just about everything I need to support my habit. However, The Vacuum system on my 79'wagon has stumped me and no hobby shop from California to Sweden has been able to help me find a new Vacuum Amplifier or even justify its existence. Could I just get rid of it all for now??? I recently had my B21F machined and would like to see it running at its best but is it really necessary to to go through all the trouble. Everything about the vacuum system seems to be rare and obsolete (EGR, Vacuum Amp, Fuel Accum.) Oh yes, and this amplifier looks like a hockey puck and sat behind the battery. Didn't see anything like it in a junkyards 80' DL. Any wisdom to share please?!?!? Thanks!
