91 240 no start, no fuel pump hum 200 1991

It started fine today, went to work no sweat. I back into a spot and notice no backup lights, park the car and roll the fuse and the lights work great. I go to the store and put my blinker on, nothing, I'm thinking fuse again. Finish up in the store, roll the fuse, now no start. I fiddle some more with the fuse and finally it starts. I get it home shut the car off and put the key to the on position about 5 times and I hear the hum everytime. I go out 15 min later to FIX the problem and now it's dead. I cleaned the fuse and holder real good with sandpaper, took the relay out and inspected it and don't see anything wrong, no bad solder joints and the like.

Maybe the relay just gave up? Any thoughts from the pros? TIA
