A friend of mine who owns a military surplus store convinced me to try some military polypropolene long underwear, and I'm glad that she did.It's really got to get a bunch colder than it does here to wear both pieces without burning up. I was out working on a car in the high 20's (f)with a strong wind, and after about a half hour , had to shuck the shirt, I was burning up.
They're costy, but worth it.
