Replacing O-rings on LH-jetronic injectors. Question about kit parts and fitting. 700

Hi guys (and gals?),
I’m replacing O-rings on fuel injectors on my 87 Turbo w/B230FT engine.

The O-ring kits comes with 3 O-rings, yellow shield, and a gray spacer.

Questions on kit:

1) I can use the two O-rings, I don’t know what the other is for. Different injector?
2) Yellow shield is longer. Seems to fit, but I’m weary and fuel delivery issues. Is this the new and better design, or is it for another type? There isn’t one similar to OEM.
If it is for different type, then WTH is the kit for? You can’t expect one to take off the old, brittle, 15-year-old shield without breaking it?!
3) Gray spacer. I don’t know where it goes. I thought of replacing the thin plastic, bronze-colored spacer with it, but it’s much to thick. Again, for different injector?
