Radio Installation 700

I'm going to be installing a new radio unit in my 1990 740 GL Wagon. The current radio is stock.

From looking at the wiring in the back of the radio, it looks like there's a stock amp installed -- there's a standard wiring harness, the antenna and then another connection I'm not familiar with. Is this indeed an amp lead? If so, do I need to find the amp and connect to the speakers on the other side of the amp -- essentially bypassing it? I'm not putting in any kind of fancy system, just a CD deck with 50W X 4 channels.

Thanks for any help.
