Bad Rack? S90-V90

I just replaced my CAM rack (made by TRW) on my 1992 960 Wagon at 130,000 miles. I had two 740 Turbos one with 169,000 the other 240,000 with the same CAM Rack with no problems. Maybe the extra weight of the 6cyl. on the front when turning when sitting still or maybe decline in quality control by TRW.

The best price for a rebuilt unit with lifetime warranty was from FCPGroton.com. I think it was $197 plus $150core charge later refunded. They only charged me $14 for shipping each way.

It took most of a day to remove and reinstall. The biggest problem was moving the power steering lines out of the way where they attach to the rack. I couldn't access the line clamp nut by the motor mount and wound up bending one line causing immense difficulty with reattaching the lines to the rebuilt unit.
