Brake Line help 700 1988

I am having trouble finding the brake line fitting. My old one was damaged. Canadian Tire has no metric fittings. They do have a flexible metric line that I could take the fitting off of but it is to long as it doesn't compress the u-spring (the part that holds both hose and line tight in hole mount). I found some other fittings but the head size is smaller than #11 and slips through the u-spring.

Is there a different Brake Hose I should use and get rid of the u-spring? Possibly a Standard Imperial One?

Is the fitting that goes into the caliper standard on brake hoses?

Do the fittings have to be different depending if an ISO flare is used compared to a double flare?
